This high-end security feature represents the latest trend in security printing. A transparent tactile varnish helps to feel the denomination, but it also highlights hidden features! It is a combination of two effects: UV-A to Visible Light and IR fluorescence!

 

With UV-A light you can make the invisible image provide a visible intense green fluorescence and by shining visible red light (LED) on the print it emits IR-light which can be detected with a simple NIR camera (money detector). The IR decay can also be measured. This can be a great alternative to UV-VIS pigments, as it is easier to find a red LED lamp than a UV.
